Vielo Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and Vielo Platforms Pvt. Ltd. (“Vielo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the operator of the Vielo mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Vielo. Vielo is a dating and social platform and is not directed at minors.
• By registering, you represent that the birthdate you provide is accurate. We rely on your self-reported date of birth; providing a false birthdate to circumvent this requirement is a violation of these Terms and grounds for immediate termination.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
• We may refuse service, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion, including to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate registration information (email or phone number) and keep your profile information truthful — impersonation and fake profiles are prohibited.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to evade a suspension, block, or these Terms is prohibited.

4. Description of the Service

Vielo is a voice-first social and dating application that provides, among other features:

• Profiles & feed — public posts, profile photos, bios, and interests.
• Voice & video calling — one-to-one audio and video calls between users, billed in in-app coins beyond any free daily allowance.
• Live rooms — public and private audio/video rooms hosted by users, including virtual gifting.
• Communities & messaging — group communities and direct messaging between users.
• Dating & matching — a swipe-based discovery feed, mutual “likes” that create a match and open a conversation, and dating-preference filters.
• Video verification — an optional recorded video selfie, spoken along with an on-screen one-time code, reviewed by our safety team to earn a verified badge.
• Virtual currency — “coins” (spent on calls and gifts) and “diamonds” (earned from received calls and gifts), as described in Section 8.
• Premium subscriptions — Vielo Lite, Plus, Premium, and Premium+ tiers offering enhanced calling allowances, visibility, and other perks, as described on the in-app subscription screen at the time of purchase.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time without liability to you, though we will try to give notice of material changes that reduce functionality you've paid for.

5. No End-to-End Encryption

Calls, messages, and other content sent through Vielo are not end-to-end encrypted. Data in transit is protected using industry-standard transport encryption (TLS), and data at rest is stored using our infrastructure providers' standard security controls, but Vielo and its infrastructure providers may have technical access to content as necessary to operate the Service, ensure safety, investigate abuse reports, and comply with legal obligations. Do not use Vielo to transmit information you need to keep confidential from the platform operator.

6. Automated Safety Monitoring

To help keep Vielo safe and prevent abuse, we use automated (non-human-reviewed) tools to screen content you send through the Service, including:

• Text content — messages, posts, comments, community posts, and profile bio/display name are automatically scanned for attempts to share another platform's username, a link, a phone number, or an email address. Matched fragments are automatically hidden before the content is stored; this happens without a person reviewing your message.
• Photos — certain photo uploads (e.g. your profile photo, community media) are scanned on your device for visible text that looks like another platform's contact info before the upload completes.
• Calls — your device may run an on-device, advisory-only check of your own speech during a call to remind you not to share contact information for other platforms. This runs locally, is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to Vielo, and cannot see or analyze what the other participant on the call says.

We do not currently record or transcribe call audio, and we do not have staff routinely reading your private messages. We may still review specific content in connection with a user report, a suspected Terms violation, or a legal obligation, as described in Section 7 (User Conduct) below.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse other users, on or off the platform.
• Post or transmit content that is unlawful, obscene, hateful, defamatory, or that exploits or endangers minors.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your age, identity, or affiliation.
• Solicit money, gifts, or personal financial information from other users (romance-scam and financial-solicitation behavior).
• Use the Service for commercial solicitation, spam, or unauthorized advertising.
• Attempt to circumvent coin/diamond billing, tamper with in-app purchases, or exploit bugs for financial gain.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or use automated means (bots) to access the Service.
• Upload content that infringes another party's intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Use the Service to violate any applicable law.

We rely on user reports, the blocking tool, and our safety review of submitted video verifications to enforce these rules, and we may suspend or permanently ban accounts — including limiting or forfeiting wallet balances obtained through violation of these Terms — for violations, at our discretion and with or without notice.

8. Virtual Currency — Coins & Diamonds

• Coins are purchased with real money (via Google Play Billing or, for direct coin top-ups, Razorpay) and consumed to pay for call minutes beyond your free daily allowance and for sending virtual gifts.
• Diamonds are earned automatically when another user spends coins calling you or sending you a gift, at a payout rate that depends on your active premium tier.
• Coins and diamonds are virtual items with no real-world monetary value. They are not currency, are not redeemable or exchangeable for cash, are not transferable between accounts, and cannot be sold, gifted outside the app, or cashed out. Vielo does not operate a payout, withdrawal, or cash-out program for diamonds.
• Coin and diamond balances are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or app store policy, and are forfeited if your account is terminated for violating these Terms.
• We may adjust virtual currency pricing, earning rates, or premium-tier bonus percentages prospectively at any time; changes do not retroactively affect balances you already hold.

9. Premium Subscriptions & Payments

• Premium subscriptions (Lite, Plus, Premium, Premium+) are billed through Google Play Billing (or Apple's In-App Purchase system on iOS, where applicable) as auto-renewing subscriptions, at the price shown at the time of purchase, in your local currency.
• Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. Manage or cancel your subscription through your app store account settings — cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period.
• Refunds for subscriptions or coin purchases are handled according to the policies of the store you purchased through (Google Play / Apple App Store) or, for direct Razorpay coin purchases, at Vielo's discretion, subject to applicable consumer-protection law.
• Direct coin purchases processed via Razorpay are priced in Indian Rupees (INR) and subject to Razorpay's terms and any applicable payment-processing or tax charges.
• You are responsible for any taxes associated with your purchases.

10. Advertising

Free-tier use of live rooms may display third-party advertising served through Google AdMob. Premium tiers that include “ad-free rooms” remove these ads for the duration of an active subscription. See our Privacy Policy for information on how advertising partners may process data for ad delivery.

11. Dating & Meeting Other Users

• Vielo does not conduct criminal background checks on users and does not guarantee the identity, age, or intentions of any user you interact with.
• You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, including any decision to speak with, call, or meet someone in person. Exercise caution: meet in public places, tell a friend or family member your plans, and never send money to someone you have not met in person.
• Vielo is not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the platform.
• Report suspicious behavior using the in-app report and block tools — this helps our safety team act on violations of these Terms.

12. Content Ownership & License

• You retain ownership of the content you post (photos, bio, posts, recordings). By posting content, you grant Vielo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service.
• You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to any content you upload.
• We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law at our discretion.

13. Account Suspension & Termination

• We may suspend (temporarily or indefinitely) or terminate your account for violating these Terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice.
• You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and irreversible — it immediately and permanently removes your profile, posts, matches, messages, and wallet balance. Unused coin or diamond balances are forfeited on deletion and are not refunded.
• Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive account deletion or termination.

14. Intellectual Property

The Vielo name, logo, app design, and underlying software are owned by Vielo or its licensors and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms do not grant you any right to use Vielo's branding except as necessary to use the Service as intended.

15. Third-Party Services

Vielo relies on third-party infrastructure to operate, including but not limited to Supabase (database, authentication, storage), LiveKit (real-time audio/video), Google (Sign-In, Play Billing, AdMob, Firebase Cloud Messaging), and Razorpay (payments in India). Your use of the Service is also subject to the applicable terms of these providers where you interact with them directly (e.g., completing a payment).

16. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY USER YOU MEET THROUGH VIELO WILL BEHAVE AS REPRESENTED.

17. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VIELO AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO VIELO IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Vielo harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

19. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana. (Insert an arbitration clause here instead if you prefer arbitration over litigation — recommended for a consumer app; consult counsel.)

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms in the app or on our website with a new “Last updated” date, and material changes will be highlighted through the app where practical. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

21. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vielo regarding the Service.
